story: inspired by a gig i did with my friend and fellow songwriter Jen Foster, who is a great pop writer, thought i needed to write a good pop song, so i went home and wrote this one, of course there's a deeper meaning to the lyrics, but sometimes I'm not even aware of the meaning until I look back later.
lryics: you know i love you but i don't wanna be here, things never get any easier, i know you hate it when i talk about it, but it just won't disappear. there was a time when i thought everything would be okay, i tried my best just to hide my fears. i'm tired of climbin' every mountain standing in my way, they only reappear. so let's pick up the pieces and throw them in the air, 'cause there's no rhyme or reason, it's a sordid affair. so many questions, let's just try to get it right this time, we've seen it coming' year after year, fear tries to tempt us in the hope that we'll just stick it out until we're in the clear.
we can't remember the last time we cried for happiness, no trace of gladness inside our tears, let's just call it a day, clean up the silly mess we've made, our story ends right here...
